The dashiki can be a colorful garment for men commonly used in West Africa as well as used in the rest of Africa. It includes the top 50% of the human body. It's official and casual versions and ranges from straightforward draped apparel to completely suits. Etymology
The title dashiki is derived from the Hausa expression john ciki, meaning top. It's typically used with a Kufi top which can be worn in a set of slacks, along with Islamic towns in Africa and the African diaspora.
